The Idea

It's christmas time. And that means finding something to give as a gift to your closest. And a problem that especially families might know is that when washing many bottles by hand, the dish rack is filled as they consume a lot of space. To tackle this, i imagined a simple bottle dryer to hold the wet bottles. After sorting ideas, I came up with a collapsible design that can adapt to the available space.

A sketch of a design with four legs, two of which are joined in the middle to form an X, and these X-shapes are connected to each other at the ends of the legs—there are rods at each of the six ends to hold the bottles

The Implementation

Item *x (Total length)
21 cm slats 4 84 cm
25 cm round timber 6 150 cm
Nails / other fasteners for pivot points 4 -
Dowels for connecting slats to round timber 6 -

Not much effort in terms of finances and time has to be put into this. Buy some wooden rods and square timbers, mark them correctly...

... and lay them down how they should be positioned in the end:

Everything arranged as it should be assemled later

After cutting and milling the parts, a coat of varnish needs to be applied to protect them from water and ensure their longevity. Then everything is assembled - and there you have it: the bottle dryer!
